The fileappender has recovered from the problem - yes. First, i'm concern about the fact, that not all logging information are inside the logfile. Second, my java-wrapper (http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/) will inform me about those failures. If there are many threads running (using logback) in concurrency, i get a lot of logback-exceptions. I do also not know about the timing side-effects related to this exception-problem. regards Danny

running logback on solaris 10 throw an excpetion.
