Thank you for looking into this. The LoggingEvent.nanoseconds field is set but there is ILoggingEvent.getNanosecond() which retrieves the nanoseconds from  teh value returned by ILoggingEvent.getInstant(). I agree that this is somewhat confusing. Let me look into it.
