according to the doc, in prudent mode, the zip compression is not supported nor allowed. However, if prudent mode is off, it was found from the test that during the zipping process, the old file which was being zipped still opened to all jvms thus every one still wrote to the file. I was wondering if there is an issue of logging info losing. I thought at least somewhere during the zip compression, a synchronization would be applied. Not sure if it's correct.
