This should prevent SyslogAppenderTest from failing.
Just did a "svn up" and "mvn install" after having left it untouched since I reported the failure. Unfortunately it still fails: Results : Failed tests: basic(ch.qos.logback.classic.net.SyslogAppenderTest) tException(ch.qos.logback.classic.net.SyslogAppenderTest) Tests run: 207, Failures: 2, Errors: 0, Skipped: 8 Let me know if you need further information, or I need to open an issue in Jira.
