I used SLF4J and logback on an profile 2 ARM CPU JVM when mentoring for a FIRST robotics team. To get around the lack of profile 2 compatibility in logback, I had to configure logback programmatically. So maybe to get to profile 2 compatibility it would just be a matter of offering an alternate configuration methodology.

In the end I think profile 2 compatibility would be useful.
