Hi All, I have this problem with respect to logback. During runtime if i delete the log file, the application generated logs are no longer logged. Is there a configuration wherein the logback can recreate the log file and continue logging without application restart Thanks Raghu On Thu, Apr 10, 2014 at 7:02 PM, Thom DeCarlo <pixelpusher@cox.net> wrote:
I agree with David. Go straight to 1.7.

Given that logback already requires JDK 1.6 to compile, and the recent release of Java 8, and that JDK 1.5 is no longer supported by Sun/Oracle, I think it's about time we move to JDK 1.6 for logback. Any objections or comments?
Many thanks for your input. -- Ceki
