 SLF4J 2.0 is still in alpha as the Fluent API has not been finalized.  At present time, that is the main reason logback 1.3 is still in alpha.    Logback 1.3 is close to being feature complete and should enter a beta  release cycle very soon.    Ceki Gülcü
