logback generated a lot of file with *.tmp

Hello: when the log needs to be rotated often, many temporary files like *.tmp are being produced and left there forever. I saw the following mailing thread and did not see futher info http://marc.info/?l=logback-user&m=125310684231076&w=2 How could I avoid this situation within logback. Thanks -Ted
