28th of October 2008 - Release of version 0.9.11 Version 0.9.11 is a maintenance release fixing a crude bug introduced in logback version 0.9.10. Fixed LBCLASSIC-77 reported independenly by Gianni Doe, Yannick Haudry and Yossi Shaul. The childValue() method of CopyOnInheritThreadLocal class part of MDC code no longer throws a NullPointerException. I would greatly appreciate if you could review and apply the patches I provided for LBCLASSIC-35 and LBCORE-58. I need to fix a problem for a product we are deploying to production and would like to use a snapshot of Logback instead of having to create my own copy of Logback in our source control. Also, I submitted a patch for LBCLASSIC-53 some time ago to allow onMatch and onMismatch to be configured in the DynamicThresholdFilter. This isn't as big a deal except I keep noticing that my sandbox isn't in synch with trunk. Ralph

However, logback will attempts to use the same class loader that loaded the LoggingContext, i.e. the EAR class laoder, which cannot see com.ziesemer.test.TestAppender in your war file. Placing com.ziesemer.test.TestAppender in the EAR will solve the problem. You should also place logback.xml in the EAR file.
